The Asia Region Anti-Trafficking Conference (ARAT) exists to develop multi-sector learning and partnerships that strengthen responses to human trafficking and modern slavery across Asia.
ARAT was founded in 2017 through a partnership between Chab Dai Coalition in Cambodia, Be Slavery Free in Australia, and The Freedom Story in Thailand. Since then, we have grown into a leading regional platform for sharing research, strategies, and real-world experiences that strengthen anti-trafficking efforts and foster collaboration among diverse sectors. Each year, the conference brings together leaders from government, business, academia, and civil society to collaborate, share insights, and build a collective front against exploitation.
The conference aims to stay informed on emerging trends, share effective practices, and identify key areas for joint action. By creating a space for authentic connection and shared learning, ARAT empowers participants to work together toward lasting change and freedom for all.
ARAT is a project of the Global Learning Community (GLC), a network of over 300 members from 60 countries working to strengthen standards, facilitate connections, and implement creative solutions within the global anti-trafficking movement.
Each year, the conference is planned by a Volunteer Committee of GLC Members. A big thank you to the 2026 Planning Committee!
